How do I know when it's time for a check-up?

Many patients set up their check-up appointments six months in advance, when they leave their last appointment. As a courtesy, we will call patients to remind them of their upcoming appointments. If you don’t schedule your checkup in advance, you will receive a postcard in the mail and be contacted by one of our recall coordinators with a friendly reminder.

How can I safely whiten my teeth?

We offer several procedures to help whiten your smile. We perform Zoom! in-office whitening, which can give you lighter teeth in less than an hour. With at-home whitening, we create a customized tray for your teeth. You take the kit home and apply the bleaching gel on a daily basis for about two weeks. For patients who don't want to spend as much, we offer the professional strength Crest tooth whitening strips, which are 80 percent stronger than the over-the-counter strips. We'd be happy to evaluate the potential for whitening your teeth, based on their current color and the causes of any discoloration, so call Livonia Dental Group today.

What are crowns, veneers, and onlays?

We are glad you asked! A crown caps the entire structure of a tooth that has become too weak to stand on its own. Porcelain veneers are bonded to the front teeth, while an onlay covers the top of a back tooth. For many crowns, veneers, and onlays, we can create them in just one visit with our new CEREC machine.

Before we acquired the CEREC machine, we had to send the crowns and veneers to a dental laboratory for fabrication, which often took weeks. With CEREC, we can produce them onsite during your visit.

What different payment options do you provide?

We accept cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard, and offer CareCredit financing. Your insurance co-pay is due at the time of your visit, but we can bill deductible payments over a period of time, depending on your particular situation. Please let us know ahead of time if you want to pay in installments so that we can structure an appropriate plan for you.
