Your First Visit to Livonia Dental Group
Your first visit to our Livonia dental practice will take about an hour, to an hour and a half. During that time, we’ll take your paperwork, get you set up in our paperless system, and show you to a comfortable operatory. Often times, medical conditions and medications mean we need to pay closer attention to certain aspects of your oral health. For that reason, your doctor will go over your complete medical and dental history to get a comprehensive picture of your health.
In addition, we’ll take a series of X-rays, provide a tooth-by-tooth inspection, assess the health of your gums, and check to make sure your bite is properly aligned. After a comprehensive evaluation, you’ll receive a thorough treatment plan outlining any restorative dentistry or cosmetic dentistry procedures the doctor recommends. In the absence of any problems, we’ll provide you with a professional cleaning. However, if we find instances of gum disease or decay, it may be necessary to schedule a follow up visit for treatment.
If you are having any issues, experiencing any pain, or just have a question about your teeth, make sure to talk to the dentist or one of our team members. After all, we’re here to help.
New Patient Forms
We have made our new patient forms available to you as Adobe Acrobat files. For your convenience, we recommend printing and completing these forms at home.
Please remember to bring your completed forms with you for your first appointment. If you have any problem getting these files to print properly, please call our office and we will gladly send or fax them to you.
Our Livonia practice accepts nearly all of the major insurance plans. We are well versed in the latest coverage information and can easily discuss the particulars of your plan with you prior to any treatments you may undergo.
We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, and offer CareCredit financing. Your insurance co-pay is due at the time of your visit, but we can bill deductible payments over a period of time, depending on your particular situation. Please let us know ahead of time if you want to pay in installments so that we can structure an appropriate plan for you.
